The Tribal Youth Delegate (TYD) Program goal is to equip Northwest Tribal youth with foundational leadership skills and holistic health knowledge, empowering them to grow as powerful advocates for the seventh generation.

16 – 24, as of September 2026

Eligibility 

The TYD Program is open to youth who are: 

  1. Tribal Members and/or Descendants of NPAIHB’s 43-Member Tribes in Idaho, Oregon, and Washington;
  2. 16-24 years old*, as of September 2026; and
  3. Interested in expanding their knowledge in the development, advocacy, and implementation of Indian health legislation, regulations, policies, and programs.

Returning delegates: Tribal youth who participated in the 2025-2026 program and are 14-15 years old are grandfathered into the program.
