The Health News & Notes featured theme for May is “Culture, Spirituality, & Educational Development.” Highlights for this issue include the inaugural Community Health Aide (CHA) White Coat Ceremony for the CHA 101 pilot cohort; overviews of TCHPP programs (Dental, Behavioral, and Community Health Aides); and free trainings on Ending the Syndemic and Tribal Disease Intervention. The month of May ushers in open registration for the THRIVE Youth Conference and a new THRIVE 988 video series. NPAIHB is also excited to provide NWTEC updates on the new “Huckleberry Hub” Learning Management System (launching spring 2027), as well as the release of a Leading Causes of Death dashboard in the NW Tribal Data Hub. Finally, we highlight the close of Healthy Native Youth’s ninth Community of Practice season, an overview of the first Oregon Native American Basketball All-Stars Series, and the reintroduction of the We R Native Ambassador Program as well as the Northwest Intertribal Breastfeeding Coalition’s Breastfeeding Gathering.
