The Healthy Native Youth (HNY) project is housed in the Northwest Tribal Epidemiology Center (NWTEC) at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board (NPAIHB). It is an adolescent health project for American Indian/Alaska Native youth, parents, and communities. The NPAIHB serves the forty-three Federally-recognized Tribes of Oregon, Washington, and Idaho as a tribal public health advisory organization.
As a community, we share our strengths and experiences about how we can uplift and support our Native youth.
HNY Community of Practice sessions include resources and opportunities to engage with topical experts and caring adults.
The HNY CoP sessions are 60-minute virtual gatherings and are held each second Wednesday of the month from September to June.
