SAVE-THE-DATE for the 8th Annual THRIVE Conference, June 25-29, 2018 at the Portland State University Campus-Portland, Oregon
The THRIVE suicide prevention project at the Northwest Portland Area Indian Health Board is pleased to announce that registration is now OPEN for the 8th Annual THRIVE Conference to be held in Portland, Oregon from June 25-29, 2018.
This conference is for AI/AN youth 13-19 years of age. This conference will focus on building protective factors and increase skills and self-esteem, connect with other young Natives, learn about healthy behaviors (suicide prevention, healthy relationships, etc.) and how to strengthen their nation through culture, prevention, connections, and empowerment!
Deadline for registration is June 8th – or – when we reach 102 youth participants.
*NEW* There is no maximum on the number of youth a group can bring but 1 chaperone for every 4 youth attending is still required.
Adults 18+ must complete a background check (paid for by NPAIHB) – or – submit a letter from your organization/tribe which states that you have completed and passed a background check. *** Background checks MUST be completed & results (or letters from organizations/tribes) received by the NPAIHB by June 15th for admittance to the conference.

- Gen-I Bootcamp (stop-motion film w/special guest)
- Beats Lyrics Leaders (songwriting and production)
- Science and Medical Track (Oregon Health and Science University)
- We R Native Ambassadors (youth leadership)
- Native Fitness and Traditional Foods (physical fitness and nutrition)
