Environmental Health Specialist
The Northwest Washington Indian Health Board is recruiting for a qualified applicant to serve as the Environmental Health Specialist. This position is responsible for providing occupational health and safety, industrial hygiene, environmental protection, environmental health, communicable disease investigation, food safety, hazardous materials and emergency preparedness-response and training for the Environmental Health Program that serves 5 federally recognized tribes: Lummi, Nooksack, Swinomish, Upper Skagit and Samish Tribes
Position Opens: October 7, 2021
Position Closes: Open until filled (November 4, 2021)
Work Location: Administrative Office Bellingham, Washington with field work in the Tribal Communities served.
Salary: Depending upon experience and qualification
Qualifications: Bachelors of Science degree in environmental health or public health and Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) or Registered Sanitarian (RS). Minimum of three years’ experience working as Environmental Health Specialist.
