AISES Leadership Summit Cancellation Policy
The American Indian Science and Engineering Society (AISES) will have no liability to event registrants (whether they attend the event in person or virtually) on account of any loss or damage resulting from any delay, failure, or cancellation with respect to its Leadership Summit if such delay or failure is caused, in whole or in part, by acts of God, strikes, lockouts, riots, acts of war, earthquake, fire, explosions, situations that make it inadvisable to travel or gather in large groups, or other events, including occurrences or causes beyond the control of AISES (each a “Force Majeure Event”).
If AISES should have to cancel its Leadership Summit (whether it be a combined in person and virtual live event, an all in person event, or an all virtual live event) for a reason other than a Force Majeure Event, registrants will be given the option of a refund for their registration fees according to the AISES registration cancellation policy as noted here/or listed above, or to donate their registration fees to AISES.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
AISES will grant a full refund less a 10% processing fee to any individual who cancels their registration no later than Friday, March 5, 2021. Individuals who cancel their registration on or before March 19, 2021 will be charged 50% of their registration fee. No refunds for cancellations will be granted after March 19, 2021.
Cancellation and refund requests must be made in writing via email to summit@aises.org.
Data Collection
AISES collects personal information during event registration. Individuals registering agree that AISES may collect, use and disclose personal data which is provided by registering for the event. AISES may share attendee information with exhibitors, sponsors, and organizational partners for the purposes of resource sharing, hiring, and recruiting. AISES does not share data it collects with other groups. This is in accordance with our data protection at https://aises.org/privacy.
Code of Conduct
All Leadership Summit participants are expected to adhere to the AISES standards of conduct throughout the meeting. Anyone found violating the code will be asked to leave the conference immediately.
Registration scholarships to the 2021 AISES Leadership Summit are available to college students, educators/advisors, and professionals interested in partcipating in the 2021 Leadership Summit but unable attend due to financial hardship. Apply at: https://forms.aises.org/2021-summit-scholarship
Registration scholarship applicants should complete the application before registering for the 2021 Leadership Summit. Selected applicants will receive a discount code to be entered during registration.
