SUMMARY:Tribal Researchers Cancer Control Fellowship Program Training
DESCRIPTION:Accepted fellows will attend a two-week summer training and a one-week follow-up training in the fall. In addition to formal training, fellows will receive distance learning, peer and career mentorship to develop and implement cancer control projects, and be connected to a network of experts in cancer control and prevention in Indian Country. We encourage AI/AN graduate students, researchers, and tribal health workers with a demonstrated interest in cancer prevention and control to apply.\nApplication will be available in January 2024.\nTopics will include (not limited to):\nCancer control study design\nCancer Epidemiology\nCancer screening\nCohort studies among American Indians\nCommunity-based chronic disease programs\nCultural considerations in cancer epidemiology\nFocus groups\nGrant writing\nImplementing a Native comprehensive cancer prevention and control project\n
