2007 International Drug Policy Reform Conference Dec 5 - 8
The International Drug Policy Reform Conference is the world’s principal gathering of people who believe the war on drugs is doing more harm than good.
No better opportunity exists to learn about drug policy and to strategize and mobilize for reform.
The 2007 International Drug Policy Reform Conference will address a wide range of policy.
This year’s conference will be held at the Astor Crowne Plaza in the legendary French Quarter in New Orleans, Louisiana.

National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children (NADEC) Dec 6 - 7
Dear Tribal Nations Working Group Member:
NADEC is a non-profit organization whose work is dedicated to addressing community and system issues which affect the safety and well-being of children whose caregivers abuse substances. NADEC relies on the dedication, knowledge and productivity of the working groups that contribute their time, knowledge and experience to develop a range of resources and strategies as well as to identify research, collect data and provide public speakers in specific topic areas. The current working groups are made up of heath professionals, substance abuse treatment providers, law enforcement officers, social workers, attorneys, judicial officials, community educators, and researchers.

Enclosed is a short fact sheet with information that is specific to Tribal Issues for you to share with your colleagues, supervisors, Tribal leaders and others to help them understand the importance of your role with NADEC. We know that your Tribe’s support is important to your involvement in the Tribal Nations Work Group and your attendance at the first Tribal Nations Work Group planning meeting on December 6 and 7, 1007 in Albuquerque, N. M. Although there are no funds to cover your time, NADEC is able to cover travel and lodging expenses for this event.
