Tribal Management Grant Program FY 2009 Training Sessions
The Tribal Management Grant (TMG) Program is a national competitive discretionary grant program established to assist
Federally-recognized tribes and tribally-sanctioned tribal organizations in assuming all or part of existing
Indian Health Service (IHS) programs, services, functions and activities through a Title I contract and to assist established
Title I contractors and Title V compactors further develop and improve their management capability.
The TMG program is hosting training sessions this spring for potential applicants.
The two-day training sessions will focus specifically on the TMG program and application requirements published in the grant announcement. One-on-one sessions will be available to review project ideas and proposals with TMG staff.
The five-day grant writing session is presented by the Grantmanship Center.
Participants will learn basic grant writing skills and how to locate funding opportunities.
This comprehensive session provides the opportunity for participants to begin writing a grant proposal.
A three-hour web-based session is also available to review the application requirements published in the grant announcement.
Web-Ex capability is required for this session.

There is no registration fee associated with these sessions; participants are only required to pay their travel and per diem.

A minimum of 10 registrants is required to conduct training.
1 - Two day session focusing on requirements in the Tribal Management Grant Announcement and mock
review of applications
2 - One day session focusing on the Tribal Management Grant Announcement requirements only.
3 - Five day session providing intense basic grant writing skills and the opportunity to write a grant proposal
